It took this name because it resembles the language. It is a cheese that can be split into unsalted fibers, usually consumed fresh. String cheese resembles an immature gruyere. It is produced in almost every region of Turkey. Bolu and Adapazarı are among our prominent cities in the production of Dil cheese.
